Teddy Chambers is the Founder and CEO of L.I.F.E. (Life Improvement from Education). She has been successfully involved in youth education and alcohol and drug prevention, for over 20 years.
Teddy had an addiction to cocaine in 1986. She experienced firsthand how devastating drugs are. Immediately after, she dedicated her life to doing everything possible to ensure the future for our children. Her drive to accomplish this has led to an innovative approach to reaching and educating children of all ages. In 1991 she founded L.I.F.E. (Life Improvement From Education) to carry out all her many ideas and to make it possible for others to offer their support as well.
In 1992 she created her first curriculum for middle and high school students in the Denver, Colorado area, titled, “Alcohol, Drugs, Gangs and L.I.F.E. (Life Improvement from Education).” Today, embracing the world of Hip Hop, L.I.F.E. has embarked on a worldwide mission.
Teddy has always taken her cue from the youth she serves. No medium has their vote of confidence like Hip Hop, and nothing says what she wants for youth more succinctly than “It’s fun to be me!” First and foremost Teddy knows the primary trap all youth must escape is the lure of drugs and gangs.

Throughout the U.S. and as far afield as England, Teddy has delivered thousands of life skills presentations. She sits on many non-profit boards, coordinates youth forums and conferences to educate people on the dangers of alcohol, drug-abuse. Her passion continues to be to provide tools to help children achieve a successful, prosperous future.
Teddy Chambers has received numerous awards and media coverage for her care and love for children. She has for decades striven to enable children to be themselves and achieve their goals. She was awarded the highest award attainable in volunteerism from the President of the United States during the last Bush Administration, and has now been presented with the same honors by the Obama Administration.
